Tell me if you had this happen before.

You’re doing something, flowing through, when suddenly you reach a point where you’re not that sure what to do next.

You’re not sure on know how to proceed.

You get stuck.

You don’t know what to do next.

You think about it, then you think about it some more, and then some more, but that moment of clarity never comes.

In fact, the more you think about what to do, the more confused you seem to become.

Anyone who has ever experienced this, knows how energy draining this can be.

Mulling over something for hours, days or weeks (dare I say months or years even?) is exhausting.

So what to do about it?

How to get unstuck?

How to release ourselves?

Step 1: Understand Where The Problem Really Comes From

The first step and the most important thing is to first understand that the problem isn’t what it seems to be. Or better yet, it’s not only what it seems to be.

You see, the real and actual problem is not your “problem”.

What got you stuck is your thinking about the problem, or the situation you find yourself in.

When your thinking is cluttered, you can’t see clearly. So naturally you feel confused.

Even though you think the “problem” is the “problem” itself, the actual “problem” is you being deep in the storm of the thoughts.

And the reason you find yourself stuck, is because you are trying to find a solution by doing more thinking.

But you won’t be able to find the solution on what to do next by thinking more about it, because that is precisely how you created the problem in the first place.

Einstein famously said (and I love this quote):

The significant problems we face can not be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.

Albert Einstein

So if you created the problem by thinking about it, then that level of thinking can not get you unstuck.

Make sense?

Thinking about it more can not help you get unstuck. It will only perpetually keep you in the stuck zone.

That is why, if you want to get unstuck and move, you have to find a new level of thinking.

Or better yet, a new level of “not” thinking.

You need to…

Step 2: Elevate Yourself Above Your Thinking

Once you recognise the real problem, which is you being deep in your thoughts, the next step is to look beyond the thoughts, and to ask yourself:

“Ok, so if I look beyond my mesh of thoughts, what do I see?”

When you are able to look beyond your thinking, and remove that thought interference, the clarity will show up automatically. You will instantly know what to do.

You’ll be surprised how many times you will have the answer right in front of you.

Remember, clarity is your natural state. So just by leaning back mentally, and allowing yourself to remove the interference that is your thoughts, you will see right through it.

Step 3: Focus On Just The Next Step

The third step is to focus on just your next step. What do you need to do next?

Instead of trying to see the whole full picture, just focus on the next step. What is the next step you need to take?

As you learn to look beyond your thoughts, this step will become easier and easier. You will learn how to instantly know which step to take.

Usually the step is going to be logical. It’s going to feel like it’s been there all along, like it made the most sense.

But be prepared for your mind to not like it because of it’s simplicity. Remember, your mind is like a dog looking for a bone to chew. It craves complexity.

Step 4: Surrender

This final step is sometimes necessary, because even though you have your answer, and clarity is there, your mind might still interfere and tell you to think about it more.

Once you can see your clear answer, surrender to it and take that step. Move with it.

Remember that the solution is not found in thinking, but in seeing. Once you see it, move with it.
