How to stop your mind from overthinking

We`ve all been there.

You`re laying in your bed, trying to sleep, but your mind won`t shut off.

It keeps thinking random thoughts, where one thought triggers another, and another, and another… and so forth.

If you ever find yourself in that situation, I want to share with you a very cool thing that you can do to INSTANTLY stop your mind from thinking.

What you do is this:

In the middle of your thinking, you interrupt your mind by asking yourself this simple question:

What is my next thought?

When you ask yourself this question, you’ll notice your mind going completely blank.

You will literally not be able to think about that thing anymore.

The reason this works is because when you ask that question, you stop being an active participant in the thoughts, and you become the “observer”.

You wake up that part of you that is above your thoughts.

This question is very powerful to get yourself out of that thought bubble and stop thinking altogether.

So next time you catch yourself or you find yourself overthinking – it could be while in your bed trying to fall asleep, or you might be caught in the loop thinking about your ex girlfriend or boyfriend, just ask yourself:

What is my next thought?

Try it. It works.
